It was just a year ago when everybody appeared to have a love affair with Samsung and every Galaxy device that landed on earth was greeted with joy and great excitement. I am not quite certain why everyone was in love with Samsung just a year ago and the affection seems to have died down (almost completely) as I'm writing this.

Samsung launched the Galaxy SIV with big fanfare and mind-blowing marketing budget but simply to report lower than expected revenues couple of months later. And now the Galaxy Note 3 has been launched and yet I barely come across any writer talking about it.

Well, I am not a Samsung loyalist but I've been hearing lots of good things in regards to the Note 2. A year ago, I was really yearning for it but wasn't in a position to do so because my contract was not up for renewal yet. As a consolation, I told myself that if Note II is really good, there will always be Note 3 which (in theory) should be better and more exciting. Now that my contract is almost up and time for decision-making, I discovered Note 3 to be more than a little disappointment. If it's good, why nobody bothers to talk about it? But having seen a lot of happy Note 2 users in my social circles, it has been entrenched in me that the Note phablet is the next best alternative to the iPhone.

 

 

 

So, what should I buy? Adhere to my initial plan and obtain a Note III? Or should I think about other options?
